The Hotel Assassination is one of those missions that feels simple on paper, but most players remember it for the money more than the shooting. Franklin gets the call from Lester, and if you've already got cash sitting in your GTA V Accounts, this is the moment to make it count. The job is mandatory for the story, so there is no skipping it, no putting it off. You head out, line up the target, and try not to make a mess of it.
Setting up the hitLester sends Franklin to the Von Crastenburg Hotel with one clear order: wait for Brett Lowrey to leave and take him out. The setup is pretty low-key compared with some of the louder missions in GTA V. Franklin can watch from across the street in a parking structure and keep things calm. A sniper shot is the cleanest route and the one that matters for the Gold Medal, but a sticky bomb on the target's car works too if you want to play it your own way.
How the mission actually feelsWhat stands out here is how fast it can go sideways if you rush. You do not need to charge in. In fact, staying back usually makes the whole thing easier. If you use the sniper rifle, wait for the target to get into the open and then take the shot when the timing feels right. Players often like this mission because it rewards patience, not chaos. If nobody spots Franklin, the getaway is usually smooth, and that is a nice change of pace from the usual shootout.
What comes after the jobOnce the target is down, Franklin calls Lester, and the conversation turns from the hit itself to money, property, and all the weird business that comes with being around Lester. This is where the mission quietly matters for the story. Lester buys a house in Vinewood Hills and puts Franklin up there for tax reasons, which is a strange bit of GTA humour that somehow works. It also gives Franklin a real place to stay, which feels like a step up from where he started.
Making the money workIf you want the stock market payoff, the timing matters more than the mission. Before starting, many players put every protagonist's cash into Betta Pharmaceuticals on BAWSAQ. After the hit, it is usually best to wait a few in-game days, then sell once the price climbs. Later, you can put the profits into Bilkington on LCN and let that one rise too. Some players even keep a spare save handy or check cheap GTA V Accounts before replaying the mission, just so they can try the market swing again without losing their best run.
